Using Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP)

Return to Email Migration

  1. Open Outlook and select File from the menu bar.

  2. Use the dropdown under Account Information to select the account you want to change.

  3. Select Server Settings.

  4. Select Incoming mail and configure the appropriate settings.

    • User name - This must match the user name on your account information sheet.

    • Server - Change this to mail.hostedemail.com

    • Port & Encryption method - Should remain the same, but should be a combination of 993 and SSL/TLS or 143 and STARTTLS.

  5. Select Outgoing mail and configure the appropriate settings.

    • Server - Change this to mail.hostedemail.com

    • Port & Encryption method - Should remain the same, but should be a combination of 465 and SSL/TLS or 587 and STARTTLS.

  6. Select Next > Done to save the changes.
